John B. Devalcourt, aged 70, prominent planter and citizen of St. Landry parish for the past three score years, died at his home in Grand Coteau Tuesday morning at 11.
Funeral Services were held at the Sacred Heart Church, followed by interment at Catholic Cemetery in Grand Coteau.
Mr. Devalcourt was widely know in St. Landry parish where he has always been highly respected. Sympathy from all over the parish is extended his family in their loss.
