At Sunset; Funeral Today
Albert deValcourt, 78, died yesterday at 1:10 p.m. at his home in Sunset following a week's illness.
The body is at Lafond and Son Funeral home here.
Services will be read a 3 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Grand Coteau and interment will be in the adjacent cemetery.
DeValcourt was a native of Breaux Bridge but a long time resident of Sunset. He was a retired barber.
Surviving are his wife, the former Elmyre Darby; two sons, Oliver and Elmo deValcourt; two brothers, Willie and Edward deValcourt all of Sunset, and six grandchildren.
The Rosary was recited at the funeral home last night.
