TWO SISTERS OF SUNSET DIE ONE DAY APART
Funeral Services Held In Grand Coteau for Miss Guidry and Mrs. Cecila Dailey
Miss Aspasie Guidry, 80 years, of near Sunset, died at her home Sunday afternoon at five o'clock, just an hour after her half-sister, Mrs. Cecilia DeValcourt Dailey, had been buried. Mrs Dailey, 73 passed away at her home near Sunset Saturday.
Funeral services for Miss Guidry were held Monday afternoon at three o'clock at the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Grand Coteau. Interment was made in the adjacent cemetery with Lafond and Son in charge.
She is survived by three half-brothers, William, Albert, and Edward DeValcourt of Sunset: eight nephews, and five nieces.
Final rites for Mrs. Dailey were read at the Sacred Heart Catholic church Sunday afternoon and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery with Lafond and Son in charge.
Surviving Mrs. Dailey are four sons, J. T. and Owen Dailey, Port Arthur, Texas; Robert Dailey, Sunset; Alex Dailey, Austin, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. Oscar Baker and Mrs. Tucker Baker, Port Arthur; Mrs. Merle Wheley, Lake Charles; Mrs. Ruth Jeter, Houston, Texas; Mrs. James Weber, Rosedale; a step-daughter, Mrs. Frank Richard, Port Arthur; four step-sons, Henry, Ralph and Edward Dailey, Port Arthur; John Dailey, Austin, and three brothers, Albert, William, and Edward Devalcourt all of Sunset.
Mrs. Dailey is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 step-grand children.
