Funeral services for Mr. Charles Floyd Mills, 91, was held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, Louisiana with burial at the St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.

Mr. Mills, a native and life-long resident of the Bellevue-Sunset communities, died 1:40 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2002, at his home in Sunset. He was a retired farmer and parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, the former Evelyn Burleigh Mills of Sunset; five sons, Joseph Rodney Mills and charles L. Mills, both of Church Point, Henry Mills and his wife Marsha, of Opelousas, Marion Mills and his wife, Mabel, of Sunset, and Andrew Mills and his wife, Robin of Lake Charles; a brother, Patrick Dale Mills and his wife, Bertha, of Pasadena, Texas; two sisters, Wilma M. Mills of Sunset and Audrey M. Fellabaum of Scott; and ten grandchildren.

Mr. Mills was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Nelda Mills; his parents, James B. Mills and the former Alice Richard Mills; five brothers, Thomas Mills, James Mills, John Mills, Rodney Mills and Chapman Mills; and a sister, Louise M. Hollier.

Melancon Funeral Home of Grand Coteau, Louisia was in charge of arrangements.
