Funeral services for Evelyn Mills, 89 the former Evelyn Burleigh will be held Thursday, February 10, 2005 at a time pending in St. Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, with burial in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau, Louisiana.
Mrs. Mills a native of St. Landry Prish and a resident of Sunset, died Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at 7:55 a.m. at her resistence in Sunset. She was a former school teach at St. Ignatius Catholic School in Grand Coeau.
Survivors include four sons, Charles L. Mills, of Church Point, Henry Mills and his wife, Marsh, both of Opelousas, Marion Mills and his wife, Mabel "Mae Beth", both of Sunset, and Andrew Mills and his wife, Robin, both of Lake Charles; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mrs Mills was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Floyd Mills; her parents, Leo Lloyd Burleigh and Alice Johnson; and one son, Joseph Rodney Mills and a Daughter Mary Nelda Mills.
Melancon Funeral Home of Grand Coteau, Louisiana was in charge of services.
