OPELOUSAS, Jan. 30 — Mrs. Fred Mayer, 45, wife of a prominent Opelousas doctor and city councilman, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday following a one-day illness.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Myrtle Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Mayer, a native of Opelousas, is survived by her husband, one daughter and two sons, and her mother, all of Opelousas.
